Priority Covid-19 Information (22nd April)

 

  1. Local update: In Tower Hamlets, 87,788 residents have now been vaccinated with their first dose, and 21,253 residents have had their second dose administered.
  2. Walk-in Clinic at the Arts Pavillion this Saturday: The GP Care Group is holding a walk-in clinic this Saturday 24th April between 8.30am and 3.30pm at the Arts Pavillion in Mile End Park. This is for those in the first 9 priority groups who haven’t yet had their first dose, or would like to discuss their decision with a doctor before proceeding. Click here for more information, and check out this visual guide on how to get to the venue step-free from Mile End Underground. Don’t forget to take along your ID and vaccine letter if you have one.
  3. DeafPLUS Webinar on Roadmap out of Lockdown: DeafPLUS are running a Q & A webinar with Tower Hamlets Council on Thursday 29th April 2-3pm to discuss the different stages and rules to help us out of lockdown. This event will be BSL interpreted. See the poster for more information about how to join the session.
  4. People 45 or over in England invited to book vaccine: Last week, the government began rolling out phase 2 of the vaccination programme by offering vaccine appointments to people over the age of 45. Appointments can be made through the NHS booking website.
  5. Free Covid testing available at home: All people in England now have to access free twice-weekly rapid Covid-19 tests. In Tower Hamlets you can collect 2 boxes – which include 7 tests. For more information about where to collect these tests from in the Borough click here.
