Key points

  1. Local update: In Tower Hamlets, 84,569 residents have now been vaccinated with their first dose, and 17,703 residents have had their second dose administered.
  2. Book of remembrance: Tower Hamlets Council are launching a book of remembrance to celebrate the lives of family, friends, colleagues lost in the pandemic. If you would like to leave a tribute to someone, please visit here.
  3. Ramadan and the Covid-19 vaccine: The British Islamic Medical Association has issued guidance to the Muslim community to reassure them that the vaccine does not invalidate their fast during Ramadan. They have also debunked other myths surrounding the vaccine on their website.

  5. Test to be offered twice weekly to all in England: Every person in England is now eligible for 2 free lateral flow tests per week. The tests are quick and convenient and provide results in under 30 minutes.
