Priority Covid-19 Information (8th April)

 

  1. Local update: 82,196 residents have now been vaccinated with their first dose in Tower Hamlets.
  1. Step 2 out of lockdown: This week the government confirmed England will see more restrictions lifted on the 12th April. This includes the opening of non-essential retail, indoor leisure facilities and libraries. Read more about what you can and can’t do from this date on the government’s website.   1. Test to be offered twice weekly to all in England: The government has announced that everyone in England will be given access to two rapid coronavirus tests a week from Friday 9th April. These kits will be available through:
    • local testing sites
    • collection from nearby PCR test sites
    • participating local pharmacies
    • online home ordering serice.

Bengali vaccine webinar: Tower Hamlets Council are hosting a virtual live Q&A session this evening, Thursday 8th April at 7pm for our Bengali residents to find out more about the Covid-19 vaccine and ask a panel of health experts and local community leaders questions about the vaccination programme. Register for the event here.
