AGM and Real Gathering – Saturday June 19th 2021


The event will consist of:

Members Gathering: hear all about what our projects have been doing to support local disabled people to make change happen in Tower Hamlets and how you can get involved. Have your say on how membership should be managed in the future.

Entertainment: There will be art, poetry and video created by our members about their experience of the Covid-19 pandemic.


The AGM itself will last for about 30 minutes during our event and is for the year 2019-2020. This was delayed because of Covid-19. We will hold an AGM for 2020-2021 in November 2021. You can find the papers for the AGM including details of how to become a trustee here.

When and where

On Saturday 19th June 12:30 – 16:00, Real will be holding its Annual General Meeting and Real Members gathering. The first 30 minutes will be for welcoming and managing any technical issues.

This event will be held online on zoom. We will email you out the link once you’ve registered.

Becoming a trustee

We’re holding a 90 minute Trustees’ Information Session on Tuesday 4th May from 17:00 until 18:30 and Friday 14 May from 11:00 until 12:30 on zoom. The sessions will cover:

• The Board of Trustees, what it does and how you can be part of it

• What a Trustee does and the skills and responsibilities they have

• How the elections work and how to stand for election

You don’t have to come to the session, but it’s a way to ask questions, meet Trustees and get help to fill out the ‘Trustee nomination form’.
