Real weekly Covid-19 Bulletin

Priority Covid-19 Information (1st July)

Key points

  1. Local update in Tower Hamlets:
    • 175,918 residents have now been vaccinated with their first dose.
    • 85,504 residents have had their second dose administered.
  1. Covid-19 cases increase in Borough: The number of new people testing positive for Covid-19 is continuing to increase in Tower Hamlets. Positivity rates are now at 3.6% – the highest in London. This makes it especially important to continue to follow the hands, face, space, fresh air advice and take your vaccine when it is offered to you.
  1.  Over 18s can now book a vaccine: Anyone aged 18 and over can now book their vaccine appointment. In Tower Hamlets there are local clinics (including pharmacies in the borough) and mass vaccination sites, including Westfield.
  1. Walk-in vaccine appointments: Currently anyone eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine (those aged 18 and over) can walk in to the Arts Pavilion or Cable Street Surgery for their first vaccine appointment. Everyone is welcome to get vaccinated at one of these clinics. If you do not have documentation, no questions will be asked. The opening times and address for each clinic is as follows:
    • Arts Pavilion (Mile End Park):  8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday-Sunday until 11th July. Clinton Road, E3 4QY
    • Cable Street Surgery: 9am and 5.30pm, Monday-Saturday until 10th July. 445 Cable Street, E1W 3DP
  2. Household vaccine appointments: Anyone eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine and booking locally in Tower Hamlets can bring members of their household to get vaccinated at the same time. Please call the vaccine helpline to book your household appointments on 020 7364 3030. It is really important to book because more vaccines are needed for a household appointment.
