  1.  Over 30s can now book a vaccine: The national booking service is now offering vaccinations to people over the age of 30 at the Mass Vaccination centres like Westfield. You can now get the Covid-19 vaccine if:
    • you’re aged 30 or over.
    • you’ll turn 30 before 1 July 2021.

You can book appointments at a larger vaccination centre or pharmacy now, or wait to be invited to go to a local NHS service

  1. Household vaccine appointments: Anyone eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine and booking locally in Tower Hamlets, can bring members of their household to get vaccinated at the same time. Please call the vaccine helpline to book your household appointments on 020 7364 3030. It is really important to book because more vaccines are needed for a household appointment.

  1. New names for variants: The World Health Organisation has renamed the Covid-19 Variants of Concern – they have been renamed so that they are easier to pronounce (especially for non-scientists!) and so they do not stigmatise people from the country where the variant was first found. The table below shows the new names of the variants.
