Details for Tuesday’s lobby, and tell us you’re coming please!

The purpose of the Lobby tomorrow is to make sure that both the councillors and the Mayor know how much people care about this and that they are being watched. The more people we get there, the more difference we will make. This really is about helping save this service for local disabled and older people.

The lobby is outside Mulberry Place, the offices of Tower Hamlets Council. The address is Mulberry Place, 5 Clove Crescent, London E14 2BG.

Please complete the survey in the following link to confirm your attendance:

We are offering you support getting to the building from the nearby 277 bus stop or Ease India DLR station. We may also be able to offer you reimbursement of taxi costs if you can’t use public transport (depending on the numbers). You can tell us your access needs in the above survey.

Please call 07909 017439 as a contact number on the day if you need any help.

Up to 20 people will be allowed to sit in the public gallery of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting after the lobby, which starts at 7.15. I expect this will be on a first-come first-served basis. I will be in the meeting, and I’m expecting my speaking rights to be confirmed at some point today. It would be good if we could fill the Gallery.

We have also created a Facebook event which you can sign up to for the lobby

You can also ask your own friends and family to join in.

Finally, if you are a local person who uses our services currently, and you wouldn’t mind giving quotatitons on how much you appreciate in value what we do, please let me know. You can write to me at
Thank you so much for continuing to help us.
