What do we offer employers?  

Our Tower Hamlets Employers Network (THEN) offers a holistic package of services, underpinned by coproduction, to support companies in Tower Hamlets develop the confidence become excellent employers of disabled people. The project creates communities of workersemployers and job seekers to drive positive change. We can advise employers on meeting their legal requirements under the Equality Act (2010) and in helping to resolve any legal issues that may arise. 

Membership of the Tower Hamlets Employers Network (THEN) entitles you to: 

  • FREE expert disability guidance, backed by legal advice
  • FREE Inclusive Employment consultancy and advice   
  • FREE expert disability guidance, backed by legal advice 
  • FREE disability guidance  FREE professional seminars about the issues that matter most to you as an employer 
  • FREE ‘deep-dive’ training events, tailored to the challenges that you and other employers may be facing. FREE ‘deep-dive’ training events, tailored to the challenges that you and other THEN members. 
  • FREE guides to the key principles and practical solutions. 
  • Help with gaining ‘Disability Employer Confident’ national status 
  • FREE networking events and business-to-business support 
  • A national directory of disability guidance organisations, employment advice and important related resources 
  • Opportunities to learn from our Network of Workers (NOW) 
  • A flexible approach – drop in and out of active engagement to suit evolving business needs 


How can employers get involved?  

All our brilliant services are FREE and simply require that employers: 

  • Sign up to become a member of the Tower Hamlets Employers Network (THEN) 
  • Task one member of your senior management [or HR] staff to lead on liaising with the project. 
  • Set 3 organisational targets about disability inclusion and work with us to meet them. 
  • Attend at least 4 of our project training sessions and seminars on key issues (we offer around 15 per year).  
  • Complete an annual questionnaire and feedback form, so we can continually improve the project to meet your needs. 
  • Pledge to work towards the best inclusion possible for disabled people within your organisation.
